HOWDY! This letter is to introduce myself and my business "Pinewood Poultry Farm". We have a good selection of Barnyard Poultry Chickens-including Bantams, Ducks, Geese, Turkeys and Guineas--from hatching eggs (in some cases) to chicks and varying sizes of adult birds. Our specialty items include Wild Waterfowl, some Hoofed Animals, a few Small Mammals, Pigeons and Doves, and Peacocks. This past year we have increased our numbers and varieties of game birds (i.e. Quail-Chukar-Pheasant) so that we might produce more eggs of the named varieties. It may take us a while each spring to get up to speed for shipping and handling the birds or eggs, for each year we are expanding. If the service is a little slow, or we happen to be out of stock of some species, please bear with me--we need to "get our feet wet" and learn exactly what you want in this game bird field. With good communication by telephone I feel that we can service you well and keep you informed of any short comings so that it may not cause you difficulties. As stated, my specialty in the past, has been Farmyard Poultry and Wild Waterfowl, but this year and certainly by next year I hope to be able to provide customers with a wider variety of game birds and exotics as well. ORDERS: We accept only prepaid orders--by credit card, or via the mail with cashiers check, money orders, or personal checks (please allow 10 days to clear). We ship most orders freight and boxing included, and we will figure this cost for you if you will call us before shipping. EVEN THOUGH WE SHIP MOST ITEMS YEAR-ROUND; WE MUST STRESS GETTING YOUR PREPAID ORDERS IN AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. WE TAKE EVERYONE ON A "FIRST COME-FIRST SERVE BASIS". ORDERS REALLY BACK UP FOR EGGS AND CHICKS IN THE SPRING TIME; AND FOR WATERFOWL AND MOST ADULTS IN THE FALL. TO BE SURE THAT YOU GET VARIETIES AND QUANTITIES THAT YOU WANT, PLEASE ORDER EARLY (i.e.: In the Winter for Spring Eggs, in the Spring for Fall Mature Birds). TO ASSURE THE BEST SURVIVAL OF THE CHICKS, EGGS, ADULTS--WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO HALT SHIPPING DURING INCLIMATE WEATHER (COLD OR HOT). DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS, THE LOCAL POST OFFICE WILL NOT ACCEPT SHIPMENTS OF ANY LIVE ANIMALS; THEREFORE WE PROVIDE AN EXTRA LONG DISTANCE SERVICE. FOR A CHARGE OF $50.00 PER 1-4 BOXES WE WILL SHIP EXPRESS MAIL POST OFFICE (FROM HOUSTON INTERCONTINENTAL AIRPORT) TO POST OFFICE IF IT IS AVAILABLE IN OR NEAR YOUR TOWN. (NO TRUCKING/ALL AIR CONDITIONED)---ASK US FOR MORE DETAILS! On this website is a price list so that you might see what is available both at our farm and through interaction with several other farms for which I broker. Our goal is to be able to provide you with an almost "one stop or one phone call spot" that you might get most birds/animals and look no farther. Its basically a "win-win" situation for us both, for it cuts down drastically on freight for you and provides allied sales for us since most all items come from one local spot and they can be combined. Believe me I know about freight costs for 2 ducks from Wisconsin, 2 geese from Iowa, and 2 pigeons from Virginia; instead of 6 birds from Sam Rayburn, Texas!
